Documents released just before the first ASR trial show that J&J execs knew the implant was flawed, but they did nothing to prevent its use in patients…. Read more
DePuy ASR Hip Lawsuit Information Center
DePuy Orthopaedics—a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson—recalled its metal-on-metal “ASR” hip replacement system devices in 2010 because the devices come loose, fracturing the bone around the implant.
The defective ASR hip units deteriorate and deposit flakes of metal into patients’ bloodstreams. Some recipients of ASR hips have developed pseudotumors—soft tissue masses resulting from adverse reactions to toxic metal debris.
You’ve probably heard about no-fee-until-you-win arrangements. It’s simple, and you’ll get it here. Only if and when you recover money to compensate you for your harm will you pay RLG. Otherwise, you pay nothing at all.
If you call for a free initial claim evaluation, you have no obligation whatsoever to hire RLG to represent you. If you do want RLG to stand up for you, we’ll send you an information package with a retainer agreement.
Every legal claim has a time limit. If you don’t sue in time, you risk losing your claim forever. You don’t want to delay. You want to be made whole again. So call RLG now to get the process started.
Unfortunately, when the clock starts—and how long it will run—isn’t always clear before it’s too late. That’s why speaking to a lawyer as soon as possible is the smart thing to do.
How much compensation to expect?
If you have a recalled ASR XL Acetabular System or ASR Hip Resurfacing System, you’ve probably heard conflicting accounts concerning how much DePuy is willing to pay ASR injury victims.
Hip Replacement Problems and Symptoms
When ASR hip units deteriorate, they deposit pieces of toxic metal into a recipient’s bloodstream. Your body’s tissues may react by forming pseudotumors. In extreme cases, the ASR hip units fail completely.
What does J&J say about the recall?
J&J/DePuy knew that its products were dangerous for some time. But despite acknowledging the problems with the ASR devices, DePuy continued to market them until the worldwide recall.
The Rottenstein Law Group, which represents clients with claims stemming from the recall of defective hip replacement devices manufactured and sold by DePuy Orthopaedics, notes with support the scheduling of examinations of DePuy executives.
